Fourth is an extract from the Alastair Cook's forthcoming film, MALIN III, with a soundtrack developed with cellist and composer Luca Nasciuti; MALIN III will be performed this year at 'Is This a Test?', D21 (Leipzig), the Atomino Arts Festival (Germany), The Land and the Sea (Alastair Cook's solo show at the Drill Hall in Leith, Edinburgh) and in Parma, Spring 2011.



MALIN II was commissioned for Edinburgh's inaugural Hidden Door Festival and performed by Alastair on the 31st January 2010.

It was also part part of Alastair's 6 week solo show at Timespan in Helmsdale, of site specific film and photography. A mesmerising and absorbing journey through our recent winter.



MALIN I is a sound and visual work commissioned by for arch Edinburgh creative boys Cuts and Strings. It was premiered at the GRV in Edinburgh on the 26th September 2009 and was recut for Edinburgh's inaugural Hidden Door Festival where Alastair performed it on the 30th January 2010.
